Step 4: Importing strings from an existing resource file. <--Back Next-->

If your project already contained a .RES resource file, its contents will be preserved and new strings will be appended to it. If a new string being moved to the resource file already exists in the original .RES file, a reference to the existing string is made and redundant copy of the string will not be introduce to the .RES file, unless you specify no sharing for the string. It is also possible to prevent sharing of any recource strings in the entire project, although this will make your resource file larger than it needs to be.
